When it comes to sending messages to your connections, make sure you have a headline that will catch somebody’s attention. There are several extensions for Google Chrome that will allow you to test your headline and see if it’s good enough to get your message opened.
Instead of using the message to try and sell to someone, suggest something that might be of interest to them like an invitation to an event or webinar, or a quick reconnect message to talk about how they have been. Genuine messages usually get genuine responses.
I suggest that you make a habit of sending three messages a day to current connections in your network, as well as connecting with people on their anniversaries and birthdays. When you do this on a consistent basis, watch what happens to your business. When you are constantly interacting and providing value, you will see more and more business.
